ALTA
Manufacturing and Alta Via Technologies Partner on Technology
Roadmap
Alta
Manufacturing, a leading contract manufacturer specializing in
NPI to pilot production of complex PCBs, announces that it has
formed a strategic alliance with Alta Via Technologies in an exclusive
agreement to develop and implement an innovative technology roadmap
that advances the state-of-the-art in the Layout, Fabrication,
and Assembly of complex printed circuit boards.

Through
the on-site integration of intellectual, design, and manufacturing
components, this collaborative technology roadmap takes a unique
and comprehensive approach to quality, ensuring optimal outcomes
at each stage of the process. Utilizing a combination of new methodology,
software and assembly equipment, the roadmap advances the state-of-the-art
in quality and traceability in the PCB layout, fabrication, and
assembly process.
Coincident
with this announcement, and in support of its strategic alliance
and integrative methodology, Alta Via announces that it will be
relocating its Santa Clara, CA-based PCB layout group into the
Alta Manufacturing facility in Fremont, CA. The companies will
immediately begin working collaboratively on the development and
implementation of the advanced technology roadmap.
Both
companies share a long-term commitment to becoming a true industry
resource. The companies expect to release additional details over
the coming months in a series of announcements.
Alta
Manufacturing CEO Craig Arcuri noted, “The opportunity to
really integrate layout through fabrication and assembly under
one common technology umbrella represents tremendous opportunities
to reduce the cycle times across the board, while simultaneously
and dramatically increasing the quality and traceability of products.”
Alta
Via CEO John Corcoran added, “Effective integration of PCB
layout fabrication and assembly is often tried, but rarely achieved.
It is not a new thing, but in fact very few companies are able
to actually create a true end-to-end integration that is effective.
Working with Alta Manufacturing, we expect to succeed with this
project and provide a significant benefit to the industry.”
